We are learning how to put two or more instructions together to make a programmable toy move.

Maths and English
We are looking at place value and composition of numbers within 10. We are mastering our counting up to 100! 
 
We are building our sentence construction skills, perfecting the use of a capital letter, finger spaces and full stops. 
Art in Year 1
There is a focus on drawing and painting during autumn term and developing key skills to be able to do this effectively. We are looking at the work of Alma Thomas and Wassily Kandinsky to spark our curiosity and interest!
 
Year 1 children loved having their parents in to school for an Art Morning!
PE
This term we are focusing on our fundamental movements. This is movements such as balancing, running, jogging, jumping, hopping, galloping and side step. We participate in team games that enhance these skills along with throwing, catching and team work. 
European Languages Week!
We learnt some French greetings such as bonjour, au revoir and ecoute to use in our classroom. We explored France on Google maps, created the French flag and even learnt some colour names in the French language!
