Playground Markings
Our first project this year was to update our KS1 Playground.
Last Year we had a special visit from cricket legend, Ben Stokes. He very kindly donated some money to our school and we wanted to spend it on making our play area more active and encourage the children to play together.
We wrote a letter to thank Ben Stokes and hope he agrees it was money well spent!
Reading Shed
Mrs Dube was able to secure some funding for a reading project within school and as part of that we were given the task of finding a reading shed, stocking it with books and story stacks and choosing some new art work to promote reading in KS1.
Every Friday the story sacks get changed and the children can enjoy reading at break time either on their own or with a friend.
Child Friendly Policies
We met with Mrs Mulvey to help create a child friendly Positive Behaviour and Wellbeing Policy as well as a Safeguarding Policy.
We thought about how to make sure everyone in our school would be able to understand important messages. We are really proud of the documents we have produced.
Our Positive Behaviour and Wellbeing Policy has been shared with classes and we've had some lovely feedback.
Our next step is to deliver an assembly to share our Safeguarding Policy.
