Our Class

Welcome to Year 3!

This is where your child’s journey into Key Stage 2 begins. Miss Good and I are very excited to teach your children this year. Everyone has already settled very well and are quickly picking up our classroom routines. We can't wait to take your children on their learning journey. We will work hard, play hard and Miss Good and I will encourage the children to be the best they can be.

We will be learning about a range of different topics over the course of the year in an exciting and creative way, including the Stone Age and the Egyptians. Please look at our topic webs to see what we will be doing in more detail every half term. As a school we will endeavor to give your children the wonderful opportunities they deserve.

Please don't hesitate to ask any questions or if you have a query about anything happening in school.

We will be putting lots of our learning and experiences on the website and twitter for you to look at, so keep your eyes peeled!

If you need to talk about anything we are covering in class please catch me at the start or end of the school day.

Thank you

Mrs Joanne Kennedy and Miss Good

Reading books bags are going home every day but your child's book will be changed every  Tuesday and Thursday.

Your children will be given spellings  every week in their reading folder. Please help your child learn them at home. We have set up a KS2 TTRockstars challenge for your child to take part in every week as well.

Our PE days are Monday and Thursday. Please ensure your child has trainers in school on BOTH DAYS. Check out our topic web for this half term to see what they are going to be focusing on this half term.

No jewellery is to be worn and if your child has their ears pierced could you remove the earrings before sending them to school.

Thank you for your continued support.

Year 3 are about to embark on our new topic about 'The Egyptians' in the Summer term. Keep a close eye on all the fabulous learning the children are going to do around this wonderful historical topic!
We will begin our journey by reading 'The Egyptian Cinderella' by Shirley Climo.
