Autumn Term

In maths, the children have been using base 10 to represent numbers. They then drew the representations in their books.

Bonjour from Year 2!

For European Languages week, we focussed on the country France and learnt some simple words and phrases. We created our own French flags and Eiffel Towers. We even tasted some croissants and pain au chocolat which are french pastries.

We had a fantastic time at the Alpahbetti Theatre with Year 1. We watched a Christmas performance called 'Who Stole the Christmas Pud?'
For Children in Need, we read for 25 minutes, exercised for 25 minutes and coloured for 25 minutes. What a busy day!

We have been practising our fundamental skills in PE.

We had a fantastic time at Scotswood Gardens where the children were learning all about the parts of a tree. The children even went on a bug hunt to see what they could find in the forest!

We loved our visit to the Theatre Royal to watch a performance by the author and illustrator Catherine Rayner. We then had the opportunity to work with Catherine and became illustrators ourselves!

We created our very own Paddington Bear!
We had lots of fun at our Christmas party! We even got a surprise visit from a very special visitor...SANTA!
