English

Year 3 have produced some amazing writing this term, from narrative retells to instructions and non-chronological reports.  A highlight this term was when our parents came to watch us perform our own poems all about friendship!

Maths

This term we have focused on place value, addition and subtraction.  The children have loved using rekenreks to 100 to practise their times tables daily.

Art and Design Technology

A huge thank you to all grown ups who joined us to make Neolithic houses as part of our history topic.  It was a great morning!

Humanities

In history the children have explored changes from the tone age to the iron age.  A highlight was when special visitors from Durham University joined us for a Stone Age workshop in school.  

Computing

We have focused on e-safety in computing this term.  The children have been superstars and have shown that they understand rules to keep themselves and others safe online.  

Science

The children have learned all about rocks and soil this half term.  We particularly enjoyed comparing groups of rocks based on their appearance and physical properties
