Great North Museum

Year 4 had a fantastic day at the Great North Museum! We explored the galleries, discovering fascinating artefacts while completing a scavenger hunt. Then we took part in an engaging workshop, learning all about Ancient Greek warfare. A day full of history, curiosity and fun!

Flexible Partitioning

In maths, we enjoyed exploring the flexible partitioning of 4-digit numbers! Using interactive place value counters on their iPads, pupils represented numbers in different ways, deepening their understanding of place value and number composition.

Striking and Fielding

We are thoroughly enjoying our cricket sessions in PE this half term.  We worked on striking the ball with accuracy and improving our fielding skills. It was wonderful to see the children building confidence, resilience, and teamwork throughout the session. 

Report Writing

We explored non-fiction books, learning how glossaries help readers understand key vocabulary. We then put Ancient Greek keywords into alphabetical order and matched them to their definitions to create our own glossaries, ready for our Ancient Greek report writing.
