In Maths, we have been learning about Fractions. We have been using the Rekenrek to help us to find a fraction of a quantity.

Every Monday, Steph from Nucastle foundation comes in to do STEM activities with us. We have been working with robots and learning how to code and debug an algorithm. 

We have been very busy rehearsing for our performance of 'A Midsummer Night's Dream' which we will be performing in the Summer.

In PE, we have been creating a Viking dance. We invited our parents in to watch our performance and then learn some of the dance. 

We enjoyed taking part in our Skills Builder Day - Operation Moonbase. We had to design and build a new society on the moon.

Year 5 took part in a 'Money Ready' workshop where they learned all about budgeting, spending, taxes and borrowing.

WEST Maths Day

We had so much fun taking part in WEST Maths day. We completed an escape room in the classroom then worked in teams to solve lots of problems. In the afternoon, we went outside with the sundials we made in Science and learned how to use these to tell the time.
