Summer Term

This half term, we we will be exploring the continent of Africa and locating it on a world map. We will also use locational and directional language to describe it's position. We will compare our life to life in Zimbabwe and locate features e.g., facilities in the area (e.g., farms, cultural building).

This half term, we are looking at the artisit Andy Goldsworthy who uses natural materials to create art. We went outside to see if we could create our own pieces of artwork using nautal materials.

The children have been learning about why the Torah is special to Jewish people. After looking at a Torah scroll, they created their own scrolls and added their own special rules which they think are important.

We have been using the Beebots to input instructions to make them move forwards, backwards, left and right.

In PE, the children have been developing their throwing and catching skills as well as practising their attacking and defending skills.

The children have been using the laptops to research Africa. They were able to use the internet to find out lots of interesting facts!
