COVID-19 - guidance and websites

Updated: 08.03.2021
The RISE team works with young people in schools across Newcastle and Gateshead to help support their emotional and mental wellbeing. They have compiled a list of links to online resources, including mental health support and advice that we think will help parents and children cope during the COVID-19 pandemic. Just follow the Resources link when you click on the website below.

Support from School Health for Children/Young People/Families

During the Coronavirus Pandemic (COVID-19), Newcastle 0-19 Service (Health Visiting & School Nursing Teams) would like to ensure all our families remain supported.  We aim to continue to deliver the Healthy Child Programme, supporting you and your family.

The way we will be working will ensure we reduce the risk of spread of the Coronavirus within our communities and protect the most vulnerable in society.  We will be continuing some home visits but most of our contacts will be by telephone.  Support and advice will be provided, and referrals will be managed through our single point of contact (SPOC) on 0191 282 3319.  Your call will be answered by an administrator and your will be contacted by a member of the 0-19 Service team.
